One of the biggest reasons that people fail to achieve their goals is that they don’t know how to break their goals up into simple steps that are easy to complete. Doing this makes it possible to achieve almost any goal that you can imagine.

For example, let’s say that you wanted to start your own business. Here are some of the steps that you would follow:

• Clarify your goal. You don’t want to just decide vaguely to start a business. Do you want to buy a franchise for sale in your neighborhood so you can work close to home or do you want to launch an ebay drop off store or do you want something else? Make a clear goal.
• Create a business plan. It is impossible to move forward successfully in business without a clear plan. This will help you to identify smaller goals as well.
• Decide what the best move is regarding your current situation. Should you quit your current job to do this? Go part time? Do this on the side? Figuring out how to move forward with a goal requires determining how the goal impacts your life now.
• Make a move. When you know what your first move is, you can make it. You’re already on the path to achieving your goal!

Of course, some goals will have more steps than others but the basic idea is to figure out what you need to do in the long run and what you can do now to start working towards achieving that.

You have just moved to a new city. There are a wide variety of things that you’re going to need to get when you first make this move. Some of these will be physical things and others will be general resources.

Here’s a checklist of things you need and things you need to remember when moving to a new city:

• A place to live. That’s the first thing that you’ll want to get when you move to a new place.
• A new driver’s license. If you’ve moved to a new state, you need to get a new driver’s license for that state within ten days of the move.
• New health insurance. If you move to a new state (like Florida) you need Florida health insurance or Florida group health insurance. If you’ve just moved to a new city, you may still need new insurance (such as Ft Lauderdale health insurance instead of your Orlando insurance).
• Social support. In other words, you need to make new friends in the new city because they’ll be your resource for many of the other things that you’ll need.

Of course there are tons of other things that you’re going to need when you move to a new place - ranging from furniture to a new doctor. But take care of the above things first. With a house, a car, medical care and friends, you should be mostly set.
