3 Things a Winning Website Should Include

Your company website is like your flagship on the Internet — it represents your business, and is one of your best and strongest efforts at promoting yourself.  Therefore you need to have the best possible website if your business is to succeed.  Here are 3 things that a winning website should have:

  1. Information about the company.  One of the first things people look for on a website, after your prices of course, is an "About Us" page.  People like to know your company’s history, qualifications, and successes.  For instance, a luxury home builder in Florida would do well to include a page that tells the story of their company, subtly (and sometimes not so subtly) indicating why THEY are the best FL custom home builders to build your home.
  2. Awards and recognition.  Think of your company’s website as kind of like an employee’s resume and cover letter.  You need to demonstrate why you are hands down THE BEST company for the job.  Consider this Florida custom luxury home builder, which has won awards for its home designs.
  3. Contact information.  You can be as convincing as you like, but if you don’t supply your contact information you will lose the sale.  One thing to keep in mind is that most people who search online also prefer to make contact online — so be sure to offer some type of online contact form or supply an email address for inquiries.  Traditional contact information, such as phone number and a physical business address, will also help to instill confidence in potential customers — no one wants to do business with someone that they can potentially not get a hold of.

Remember, your website is often your first — or only — impression, so it needs to be both informative and downright impressive!
