Have You Ever Worked on a Pool Before?

Have you ever worked on a pool before? It’s an interesting experience. I have spent a few summers with New Haven pool contractors and Hartford pool builders, putting massive pools in the backyards of people across the state who have way too much money and a little extra room in their back yards. There’s something about going to the back of a massive home and seeing that pristine landscape before you and tearing it apart with machinery. There’s something you can’t quite measure about how fun it is to dig a giant hole too. It reminds me of going to the beach when I was a child and digging holes and channels from the ocean up the beach side to carry water in them.
The Connecticut pool contractors I knew seem to have lost the basic childlike interest in their profession – as is the case with most people who get along a little ways in their jobs. But, the truth of the matter is that the more I spend time out there digging up holes and filling them with water, the more fun I have doing it. It’s a great job.
