I have been using computers for about as long as they’ve made them for personal use. I’m online all of the time doing something or other through the web. I am pretty up-to-date with all kinds of new computer technology and the Web 2.0 trends that have taken hold in the last year or two. So it’s a little bit embarrassing to admit that I really never got into using a lot of different software.

In the past few months, I’ve suddenly discovered software downloads - and realized how much easier they can make doing things on the computer. For example, I own a disk printer which I use to do dvd printing but I didn’t realize that you can do this on your own computer just by getting good dvd labeler software. Likewise, I didn’t realize that some of the software programs out there for photo editing can really make it easier to edit and organize the photos that I put on my computer.

It’s funny that you can spend all day every day doing something and not realize all of the things that there are to it that you don’t know about yet. I guess that’s one of the reasons that I really like computers, though; every day I discover that there is something more to learn about them!
